I am Sonia Sader's sister-in-law and heard about Eric and his heroic struggle with this ravaging disease from her. I have had first-hand experience with cancer in a beloved family member. I hope that someday cures will be found that will not destroy the patient almost as much as the disease.

As a former teacher of Eric's the news of his passing was shocking. Last time I saw Eric he was a fourteen year old kid just trying to figure life out. To look through the gallery of him as an adult and see all of the people and memories he left behind at such a young age is devastating. My heart goes out to his wife and remarkable family.

My name is Robert White and I was Eric's manager at Goldman Sachs. I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy to his family. I learned of his passing just last night while out with other Goldman alumni and have been thinking of him ever since. He is certainly a person that had made an impact on my life and I enjoyed, and am thankful, for the time I shared with him. Through long hours and sometimes trying circumstances, Eric did maintain that smile and optimism - that is how I will remember him. I will miss him

I'm Jason Savage's father. Jason was a good friend of Eric's. I met Eric a few times over the years, going back to their days at Michigan. I got to know Eric through the email updates he sent during his illness, which Jason shared with me. When I heard about Eric's untimely passing, I had an emotional reaction that made me realize even further that Eric's emails had an impact on me. His email updates were inspirational. He was very bright, and articulated what he was experiencing with great courage, determination and a fabulous sense of humor. He had so much to live for and it's heartwarming to know that this foundation will continue to keep his memory alive in the years to come. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Gingold family at this most difficult time.

On behalf of the entire Gingold Family, I just want to thank you all for your support. We cannot express our appreciation to everyone for everything they have done for us. Eric was a very special person, as we all know, and is deeply missed: his smile, sense of humor, intelligence and zest for life. Although I feel a deep whole in my heart, I know that he is watching over all of us, and I feel his constant presence. The Eric R. Gingold Foundation will be a constant reminder of the good Eric did for everyone he touched. With your help, we WILL make a difference!
